WHAT IS THE "ILLUSIONQUESTS" BOOK

520 Pages, hundreds of pictures, decades of writing (over 280,000 words), available in soft cover and hard cover

Illusion books like this are few and far between, and there is a dire need for more.

The sad fact is that while there is no end to books devoted to every sort of sleight-of-hand playing-card-miracle and other magic specialties, the available material on magic's grand stage illusions is both sketchy and scarce.

To be sure, there are books devoted to the drawings and plans of the aforesaid props, but as far as real advice, honest information, the "inside dope" (if you will) there is next to none.

This may be because it's more practical to author a book about card tricks. Everyone has a pack lying about. This book will cover variations on sawing a woman in halves. Do you have one of those in your garage or basement?

And, in this era where it seems that there's a diverse field of learned magic lecturers criss-crossing our nation with their Part-One-Performance, Part-Two-Explanation-and-Teach-In and Part-Three-Sales-Bazaar, there is not one other lecture --- to my knowledge --- devoted to educating magicians about and answering their questions about stage illusions.

Perhaps going where others have feared to tread, I will fill that void and you are invited to accompany me for the ride. So, hang on; it could be bumpy.
